First Time Jitters?
Domain Anxiety is a common experience the first time you
consider registering a domain name. But its really not as complicated as you may
think! There are only 9 easy steps involved:
Make a list of potential domain names that you would consider. Remember
that the domain must fall between 2 To 50 characters that can include letters, numbers and
dashes, but no spaces. Each option should have a strategic advantage. Perhaps one of them
could be derived from your organizations name; another could be derived from your
USP tagline; another could emphasize the product or service you are offering. For more
tips on domain naming, click here.
Rank the domain names in order of preference.
Conduct a search to find out which of the most desirable domain names
are available. To do this, type one of the domain names you have chosen into the search box. (do not type "www" or ".ca" as these
setting are automatically added). Then press search. The domain search will tell you if
your selection is available for registration. Repeat the process for all the domains on
